In this presentation, I review:

  • findings and complications that may occur after lung and stem cell transplantation
  • in each instance findings and complications reflect, in part, the time elapsed since the transplantation procedure
  • in the case of stem cell transplantation it is important to know also details about the preparatory regime and the type of transplantation: allogeneic or autologous
  • in both contexts, the pathologic entities of constrictive bronchiolitis and pleuroparenchymal fibroelastosis may occur as long-term, survival-limiting complications
